Man killed by train near Newberry identified
The Newberry County Coroner's office has identified a man killed by a train Thursday morning as Malcolm Felix Somellian-Wilson, 42, of Newberry.
Somellian-Wilson was walking on the CSX tracks between SC 34 Bypass and McCravy Street near the Newberry Fairgrounds when he was struck by a train, the Newberry County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responding to a call about the incident found the man on the tracks with severe injuries. He died at the scene.
